At CES 2023, Sony brought some PlayStation news to its main press conference, including more announcements on PS VR2.
You can expect a slew of games being available on the new VR headset (which requires a PS5 to run) when it’s available this February. But you can expect one already-released game to be PS VR2 compatible: Gran Turismo 7.
PS VR2 will have 30+ games available with it launches. This includes GT7, which will be a free upgrade.
Gran Turismo as a VR game should come as not a surprise. GT Sport previously have PS VR support.
The small morsel of footage shown at the CES press conference sees the new Ferrari VGT from the cockpit view. The A-pillar-less screen and how ludicrous fast that car should be one heck of a sensation in VR.
However, what we would like to see in a PS VR2 GT7 isn’t just driving in first-person, but letting us inspect a car’s exterior and interior up close- like the Forzavista mode in the Forza games.
PS VR2 launches on February 22, and so will the PS VR2 free upgrade for Gran Turismo 7.
