Passion Republic Games have released a new DLC for their kaiju brawler GigaBash. After a generational run of collaborations, this latest DLC, Final Ascension, is all about the original world of GigaBash itself, focusing on the hero versus kaiju narrative with Gigaman in the spotlight.
In another example of “unc’s still got it,” the Champion Of Justice who may be out of shape to do some superheroing is now “reborn in flames of hope” as Gaya Gigaman.
Functionally a new character in the roster, Gaya Gigaman turns up the style with a new fitting fit. Gaya Gigaman still can do divekicks and shoot lasers, but can also instant transmission to the back of opponents to give them the knee.
Meanwhile a new threat looms. New character Zargorah is menacing new Apex Titan that can float in the mid-air and control the battle with area-of-effect attacks.
The new Story Mode chapter will focus on Gigaman’s disappearance, and his reappearance as a new threat emerges. Two new stages as well as new music are included in the Final Ascension DLC, on top of the aforementioned two new playable characters.
With the Final Ascension DLC, GigaBash now houses a roster of 28 playable characters, including parodies as well as licensed kaiju and tokusatsu legends.
GigaBash Final Ascension DLC is now out on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Stove), Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Check out our review of the game here.
