Get PC Game Pass Subscription Codes From An F1 Car This Weekend, If You’re Quick Enough

You know the saying how race cars are big, fast-moving advertisement boards? Now what if said big, fast-moving advertisement boards have a code you can redeem as part of a promotion?

BWT Alpine F1 Team will be doing just that for this weekend’s Miami Grand Prix. Partnering with longtime sponsors Microsoft, the blue-and-pink Alpine A522 will be adorned with QR codes which when scanned, will net you a 1-month, 3-month or 6-month subscription to PC Game Pass.

You can scan the QR codes either in-person (should you be attending) or by watching the race from home on TV.

On the Friday practice sessions on May 6, the QR codes will offer a 1-month subscription. Saturday’s qualifying session will have 3-months of PC Game Pass, while the race on Sunday will offer the 6-months sub.

The codes can only be redeemed once per person, and are only available for new members only.

Also, there are only two cars for each session, so codes are extremely limited. Check the Alpine’s front wing side, the top-front near the halo’s central pillar, and the side of the roll hoop for the QR codes.

“We’re very excited to work on this unique collaboration with our partner PC Game Pass at the first-ever Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend in Miami,” says BWT Alpine F1 Team Team Principal Otmar Szafnauer. “The digital world is continually evolving and, as a Formula 1 team, it is vital to remain at the forefront of this forever changing landscape.”

It’s a cool little marketing deal. It’s better to use those codes for a redeemable subscription rather than to hide a sponsor that may or may not be allowed to advertise like seen in yesteryears.

Microsoft has been a sponsor for the Enstone-based outfit for a while, including during the times under their previous guise of Renault. One of the team’s F1 cars has been featured in Microsoft’s racing game series Forza Motorsport.

In other news, the upcoming F1 22 game revealed the new Miami International Autodrome track as it is depicted in-game ahead of this weekend’s race at the same venue.
