Genshin Impact Version 2.0 Update Adds New Region, Full Cross-Save And More

Mihoyo’s free-to-play action RPG Genshin Impact is getting a big update coming at the end of July. The Version 2.0 update will be adding a whole new region, Inazuma, for players to explore.

Inazuma consists of six islands, with its own cultural landscape unique compared to the existing towns seen in the game so far, and is home to the Electro Archon. The new land certainly has inspirations from Japan, as seen in the trailer here:

The update will also bring three new playable characters, they are:

  • Kamisato Ayaka (5-star, Cryo, Sword)
  • Yoimiya (5-Star, Pyro, Archer)
  • Sayu (4-Star, Anemo, Claymore)

New bosses like the Pyro Hypostasis, the Perpetual Mechanical Array will also be added.

Not only that, Genshin Impact will support full cross-save functionality across PlayStation (PS4, PS5), PC (Epic Games Store, standalone client) and mobile (iOS, Android) platforms with this update. There will also be a native PS5 version with haptic feedback on the Dualsense controller support as well as other optimisations.

Genshin Impact Version 2.0 update will be available on July 21.
