Free-to-play open-world action RPG Genshin Impact is getting a native PS5 version. The game by Mihoyo is playable on PS5 via backward-compatibility with the PS4 version, but the native PS5 version will some enhancements.
It’s not clear exactly what enhancements are exactly, but the PlayStation official Twitter says that it will include “enhanced visuals, fast loading, and DualSense controller support”. Which is what you would normally expect from a next-gen upgrade.
While we may not be too hot on Genshin Impact from our first impressions back when it launched here, make no mistake how big of an… impact… the free-to-play gacha game has made in the mainstream gaming sphere.
Genshin Impact is also available on PS4, PC, iOS and Android.
