Looks like there’s another worlds-collide video game featuring various IP and it’s tied together thanks to Funko Pop, the popular collectible figure collection.
Funko Fusion is an action-adventure game that can be played solo with online co-op support. The game will feature various IP from NBCUniversal, represented in Funko Pop form, and is the first Funko Pop console game.
The IPs featured in Funko Fusion includes the following:
- Jurrassic World
- The Umbrella Academy
- Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World
- The Thing
- Masters Of The Universe
- Hot Fuzz
- Battlestar Galactica
- Invincible
- Shaun Of The Dead
- Nope
- Back To The Future
- Five Night At Freddy’s
- Xena Warrior Princess
- Jaws
- Jurassic Park
- Voltron
- Knight Rider
- Chucky
- The Mummy
- Megan
The reveal trailer is rather gruesome, in that you see detached heads of Funko Pop figures, as well as them getting their skin disintegrated. This is no family-friendly game.
Which is interesting because the developer, 10:10 Games, are co-founded by the founder of TT Games Jon Burton, with a team of experience developers that have worked at TT Games previously, which did mostly the games based on Lego.
Skybound Games will act as a distribution partner for the physical release of Funko Fusion.
Funko Fusion will be out on September 13 on PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
