Forza Motorsport (2023)’s career mode, the Builders Cup, requires players participate in a mandatory practice session, where at most three laps must be turned before the race can begin.
However, there is an option for skipping the practice session should you choose to. Though the menu is buried a bit, likely to discourage players from not putting time to gain Car XP required to unlock more car parts.
To skip practice sessions, first, start a practice session. Then immediately pause the game, go to Exit Game, then Skip Practice.
You should see the cinematic of your car entering the pits, signalling the end of the practice session.
Be warned that if you want to win the series, it’s highly encouraged to gain as much Car XP and Car Level as possible. As the series continues, the PI limit of the series bumps up, to encourage you to build faster cars as the opponents definitely will.
But since you can still make progress in whatever position you place in the overall series, you just have to complete all the races to unlock the next series, and you don’t care about winning, by all means, save the extra grind by skipping practice.
Forza Motorsport (2023) is technically available now for those that pay the Premium Edition to play early, but it will be properly available on October 10 for Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store). The game will also be on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. Check out our review of the game here.
