At PAX West 2023, Square Enix revealed that work is underway in creating two paid DLCs for Final Fantasy XVI.
“We’ve seen so many opinions and reactions from our community of Final Fantasy XVI players. But one thing that came through particularly strongly was how people wanted to see more of Valisthea’s story and spend time with her inhabitants,” said game producer Naoki Yoshida.
The same announcement also confirms that Final Fantasy XVI is getting a release on PC. For real this time.
More information about the two DLCs and the PC version should be coming before the end of the year.
Alongside that, a free update on Final Fantasy XVI is going live today, adding new costumes for the main leads, the ability to swap skins for weapons (think weapon transmog) and a few smaller additions. This video below showcases the new costumes.
Final Fantasy XVI is out now on PS5. Check out our review of the game here.
