Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age On PS4 And PC Updated To Include Extra Features From Xbox One And Switch Releases

Here’s a surprising, but a much-needed update. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, the new port of the the 2006 RPG, is getting an update.

The update is essentially made the game has feature parity across all versions. The Zodiac Age was released on PS4 and PC first, but later ports on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch added a few more quality of life additions.

The first one is the job reset function. Now you can respec your license board (skill tree) again rather than dread making an unoptimal build with no way to return other than lose hours of progress. And yes, that includes changing the two assigned jobs that was previously a permanent choice.

The second one is the addition of loadouts for the Gambit system. Now you can switch the programmable AI logic system into three different presets, rather than tweak each option everytime.

Also, the PC version also removes the Denuvo DRM system as well in this update.

The full patch notes is as follows:

Version 1.08 (PlayStation 4)

  • Job reset function has been added.
  • Gambit system has been expanded to three sets.
  • “OST” has been added under the config menu “Music.”

Version 1.0.40 (PC)

  • Job reset function has been added.
  • Gambit system has been expanded to three sets.
  • [Removed 3rd-party DRM “Denuvo Anti-Tamper.”]

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is out now on PS4, PC (Steam), Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game is also on sale now on PS4 (including PS Store Asia) and Steam.
