As revealed at The Game Awards 2024, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is coming to PC.
And it’s rather soon, too. It’s coming out in January, less than a year than its purported console-exclusive period of one year. The game released first on PS5 back in February 29.
The second of a trilogy that reimagines the 1997 seminal RPG, and the sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth opens the door for players to explore a whole open world. The best-in-class action-RPG combat has been improved with team-up attacks and expanded with more playable party members and is arguably one the best RPGs released this year.

For the PC release, FFVII Rebirth sports improved lighting and support for 120 FPS for powerful rigs. There are also higher detailed background texture MIP maps only available on PC. Plus, it will support Nvidia DLSS for image upscaling.
The game is also Steam Deck supported, so low-spec PC gamers can still give this game a go. The game also supports keyboard and mouse controls with bindable keys for basic controls and mini-games, handy if you want a specific button layout for that dreaded gym mini-game.
