Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves Reveal Nightmare Geese, New Street Fighter Collab

“Legends never die, their nightmare lives on.” SNK has revealed some gameplay of the next DLC character Nightmare Geese coming to Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves.

But isn’t Geese Howard, the guest character in Tekken 7, supposed to be dead? He fell off a skyscraper? Unlike some other game (excuse the vagueposting as it’s technically still a spoiler at the time of writing), no, SNK is dead set in saying Geese is dead in the current timeline.

What we’re playing here is the ghost of Geese Howard. The nightmare, if you will. Who happens to pass off as The American Nightmare. While he doesn’t boast any spectral visuals and just looked like prime Geese, he’s treated as a dead soul in his story content in Episodes Of South Town, where he wanders and see how much time has passed in the city he used to rule since his passing.

Nightmare Geese is not playable in Arcade Mode, though, with no plans to add him there, apparently.

For fans of the charismatic antagonist and canonically dead character, Geese gets to reappear as a playable character, while still maintaining canon. No retconning needed.

Nightmare Geese is the second DLC character as part of Season Pass 2, in a relatively relentless pace of one new character added per month.

In addition, the SNK X Capcom crossover isn’t done yet. After adding Chun-Li and Ken from Street Fighter in City Of The Wolves, here’s more Street Fighter 6 collab content coming to South Town. Rock Howard and Preecha gets two new outfits inspired by Street Fighter 6’s Luke and Juri.

A special Episodes Of South Town Episode sees Ken, Chun-Li, Rock, Jenet and more team up to face against JP (Street Fighter 6’s villain) who has brainwashed Terry. The mode features appearances of Street Fighter 6 enemies as see in their story mode offering, World Tour. You get to fight that refrigerator again.

Also, the episode will see you face off against a special boss: Kage Terry. It’s basically Terry with Street Fighter’s Akuma’s moveset. And he reeks of evil satsui-no-hado energy. Kage Terry is not a playable character, however, he is just a boss made for this mode.

The Fatal Fury X Street Fighter collab content is a free update. Meanwhile, Nightmare Geese is part of the Season Pass 2. The free update and paid DLC will drop on February 26.

Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves is out now on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series X|S.
