Epic Games Acquire Fall Guys Devs Mediatonic

Epic Games have acquired Mediatonic, the makers of Fall Guys. And the rest of the Tonic Group which Mediatonic is a part of.

Ever since Fall Guys became a hit, the 15-year-old indie studio has now grown from 35 employees to 150+. And it looks like the team is here to support Fall Guys (and make other games) in the long run.

“Joining forces with Epic will accelerate our plans to improve the game and bring Fall Guys to as many players as possible, while continuing to support the community,” the blog post from Mediatonic reads.

Epic assures on their blog post that there won’t be any changes made to Fall Guys, and “will continue to invest in making the game a great experience for players across platforms.”

Fall Guys is out now on Steam and PS4, and is coming to Xbox and Switch soon.

It would be weird if Fall Guys won’t be coming to Epic Games Store anytime soon (but hopefully not pull a Rocket League– stopping sales on Steam altogether). And it would be nice if the bumble royale can get cross-play, Epic has the tech to get the player base play together.
