eFootball 2024, Konami’s ongoing free-to-play football game, has added Malaysian football icon Safee Sali into the game.
The (hopefully winning) eleven players representing Malaysia at the currently ongoing AF Asian Cup 2023 has also been added to the game.
Centre-Forward Safee Sali became the star of the Harimau Malaya back in the 2010 AFF Championship, leading Malaysia to emerge champions. Now retired, he remains an icon and is now immortalised in eFootball 2024 as an Epic card, with an overall rating of 93.
“Seeing myself in eFootball 2024 is like reliving a personal journey,” Safee said on his inclusion into the game at a recent media event. “It brings back memories and connections I made through football. I hope fans and gamers enjoy sharing a piece of my journey, get a feel for my football skills & attributes, and score amazing goals. I’m really grateful for this recognition—it means a lot to me.”
