EA Play On Xbox Game Pass For PC Delayed Until 2021

Well, this is pretty last-minute. December 15 was supposed to be the day when EA Play, EA’s game subscription service, will be available for existing Xbox Game Pass for PC subscribers.

Apparently, PC players will have to wait a bit more longer. The inclusion of EA Play is delayed to 2021.

The post on Xbox Wire reads:

“We established this partnership with Electronic Arts because they are as passionate as we are about helping people and communities discover great games, and we knew we could provide a great experience for members by working together.

“In order to deliver on that, we need more time to provide the Xbox Game Pass experience.”

EA Play is already available as part of Xbox Game Pass for Consoles. It is still not clear how the mechanism of EA Play being included with Xbox Game Pass for PC will work yet- will the games be ported to Microsoft Store or it will link to an Origin/EA account.

At the very least, EA Play is not added for any additional price, so for most players, this will not be a big issue. Just have to wait a bit longer to get more games on the subscription service.
