E3 2018: Assetto Corsa Competizione’s First Gameplay Trailer Showcases The GT-Sport-Branded Nissan GT-R

Assetto Corsa Competizione, the follow-up to sim racer Assetto Corsa has a new gameplay trailer. The sequel is now running on Unreal 4 and will feature the Blancpain GT series license, which means all the cars and tracks from the series will be featured.

And that includes the Gran-Turismo-Sport-branded Nissan GT-R. Nissan is fielding two cars for the Blanpain series, both sporting branding and liveries which includes the Playstation 4 logo, Polyphony Digital and Gran Turismo.

Essentially, Assetto Corsa Competizione developers Kunos Simulazioni is dedicated to authentic representation to sim racing, even if it means putting in logos of a competing product.

But as you would expect, ACC is a more hardcore simulation. The need to warm the tyres and brakes, which explains the car zig-zagging and hard braking before the start of the flying lap, is one of such examples. Played from the helmet cam, players can also change the HUD as displayed on the steering wheel.

ACC is expected to be out in Early Access on PC in summer this year.
