Last week saw the Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary livestream, and with it comes a slew of game announcements from Square Enix’s beloved JRPG series.
One of the big reveal is the confirmation of a new mainline Dragon Quest. Here’s the fancy reveal title for Dragon Quest XII The Flames Of Fate.
Square Enix also announced that for the first time for the franchise, Dragon Quest XII will be released worldwide on the same date. No more looking at the Japanese release and waiting for a few more months (unless you understand Japanese). The release date we’ll eventually see for the title is the release date for everyone.
The simultaneous global release will also apply to the two other games announced on the livestream, Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake (a remake of Dragon Quest III with 2D sprite characters and a 3D world) and Dragon Quest Treasures (a new spin-off starring Mia and Erik from Dragon Quest XI, set before the events of the main game).
