Dorfromantik, the puzzle game about placing hex tiles to make idyllic European villages won’t be leaving Steam Early Access later this year as initially planned.
Developers Toukana has revealed that their plans for a full release will now move from mid/late 2021 to Spring (Q2) 2022.
This is so they can incorporate more features to the puzzler, which includes a new game mode, the ability to customise rules and use custom seeds and also an undo button.
Previously revealed features, like Creative Mode, will still on track for release as planned.
Dorfromantik has now moved to the second phase of its new four-phase roadmap. The next big update will add in Creative Mode (which lets you freely play after the game is over which happens when you run out of tiles), save games for Creative Mode as well as performance and balancing upgrades.
The third update, coming later this year, will focus on adding more content in the form of new biomes and new special tiles.
As it stands right now, Dorfromantik is a fantastic, relaxing little puzzler. You can find our impressions of its Early Access version here.
