Denshattack! Releases This June, Also Coming To Switch 2

All aboard the hype train. Denshattack!, the wicked game about trains pulling sick tricks like it’s an arcade skateboarder with a splash of high-speed 3D platforming, now has an ETA. The game will reach its terminal station, launch day, on June 17.

Revealed during the March 2026 Nintendo Indie World Showcase, Denshattack! is also expanding its rail line to also include a Nintendo Switch 2 release. A demo is now available on Switch 2 as well as on Steam.

Developed by Spain-based Undercoders and published by Fireshrine Games, you’d be surprised that this quirky game isn’t developed in Japan. The name is a portmanteau of the Japanese word Densha (train) and, well, attack.

In Denshattack!, you play as Emi who must face rival gangs and climb the ranks to be the best in Japan. And this is a dystopian future Japan where outside of impenetrable air-purifying biomes inhabited by the ultra-rich, everything else is a wasteland left for the gangs to rule.

Denshattack! will see you conduct a train in the most ludicrous way possible, like it’s a skateboard. You’ll be flipping, grining, multi-track drifting and keep a combo going like it’s Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, all through a colourful punk aesthetic that gives of vibes of Jet Set Radio.

Denshattack! will also feature a huge list of guest composers. Main composer Tee Lopes (Sonic Mania, TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge) will be joined by guest contributions from the likes of Ryo Nagamatsu (Splatoon series, Mario Kart series), Richard Jacques (Jet Set Radio series, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy), Takenobu Mitsuyoshi (Daytona USA, Sega Rally Championship), Kohta Takahashi (Ridge Racer Type 4, Ridge Racer V), Shoji Meguro (Persona series) and our favourite, 2 Mello, the independent composer with two Jet Set Radio-inspired albums, with one of the songs appeared in the last big indie game inspired by Jet Set Radio, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. The composer list is packed like a peak hour train ride.

Denshattack! releases on June 17 for the PS5, PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
