Deliver Mail In Slice-Of-Life Story Game Lake, Releasing This September

Don’t you just want to play a chill game about delivering mail? Or maybe explore a rustic town set in the ’80s? Or a game that’s mostly about talking to people? Developer Gamious and publisher Whitethorn Digital have a game for you.

Lake has you playing as Meredith Weiss, a worker at a software company taking a two-week break to her hometown of Providence Oaks, Oregon, USA. During this time, she’s helping to fill in her dad’s mail-carrier job.

Most of the game is spent sending mail to the townspeople and talking to them, but you can also explore and spend your time after hours too.

The main hook really isn’t the mail delivery (you can just set the truck to auto-drive to the destinations), but interacting with the people here. From reconnecting with past friends to finding love, you can spend your two weeks in this lake town any way you like, and see the different ways Meredith will end up at the end of the story.

There are no right or wrong endings, so you are free to experience the slice of life game any way you like.

Lake is now set for release on September 1 on PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S. For Asia, the Steam release is one day later on September 2.
