Crucible, Amazon’s free-to-play shooter, will be permanently closed in November 9, 2020.
The game was released on May 20, 2020.
After a dismal launch, the team moved the released game back to closed beta in July. Despite the developers’ efforts on delivering new content as promised in their public roadmap, it won’t be coming out again.
The developers will now be reassigned to work on Amazon Games’ MMO New World and other projects within the company.
Amazon Games’ best game to date is the video game adaptation of The Grand Tour. Amazon will be exploring game streaming with their own Stadia-like offering, Luna.
