Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time Announced – Pretend The Games After The Original Trilogy Don’t Exist

With a slew of successful remakes, it’s about time Activision brought out an all-new Crash Bandicoot game. And they did, it’s even called Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.

The subtitle isn’t just a pun on the state of the marsupial, but also its new feature for the platformer sequel. Crash and Coco can grab more than the Uka Uka invincibility mask. There’s now the Kupuna-Wa (Time Mask) that slows down time, the Ika Ika (Gravity Mask) that let them flip gravity upside down and two more to be revealed.

Dr. Neo Cortex, longtime adversary for the bandicoot siblings, is playable too.

The game is developed by Toys For Bob, of Skylanders and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy faithful remake fame.

But wait, wasn’t there more Crash Bandicoot games after the PS1 trilogy? Well, even the trailer is putting shade on the less-remembered titles (for good reason). This will continue right after the first three games concluded. Pretend those never existed. They were… not that good.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be out on October 2 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
