Control’s second and final expansion, AWE, is releasing soon.
Revealed at the August 2020 State Of Play, AWE (Altered World Events) will see Jesse Faden exploring altered world events, including one that happened in Bright Falls involving the disappearance of Alan Wake.
Yes, that Alan Wake. Control takes place in the same universe: the “Remedy Connected Universe”. The events of Alan Wake is just one of the many bizarre things the Federal Bureau of Contol investigates, apparently.
Unlike The Foundation, AWE will launch simultaneously on PS4, PC (Epic Games Store) and Xbox One on August 27.
The expansion on PS4, like the base game, is published by Huya in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, and will also arrive on August 27.
Remedy will have a Twitch stream on August 14, 12AM Malaysian Time (+8GMT) featuring 15-minutes of AWE gameplay and more talk on the Remedy Connected Universe with Remedy Entertainment’s Creative Director Sam Lake and Control Game Director Mikael Kasurinen.
