Control’s PC Requirements Updated, Should Be Less Demanding Than Before

A small update on Remedy’s new game Control. When the PC requirements were first released, it looks like a demanding game. But now the PC requirements have since been updated.

The one we reported earlier on was based on the listing on the Epic Games Store, which has also been updated. So here’s the official PC requirements to play Control:

Minimum

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 / AMD FX 4350
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 / AMD Radeon R9 280X
  • RAM: 8GB
  • OS: Windows 7, 64-bit
  • DirectX: 11

Recommended

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-7600K / AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660/1060 / AMD Radeon RX 580
  • Ray-tracing: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060
  • RAM: 16GB
  • OS: Windows 10, 64-bit
  • DirectX: 11, 12

The official post also confirms widescreen support (21:9), remappable controls, uncapped framerates plus G-Sync and Freesync support.

Control will be out on August 27th for the PS4, PC (Epic Games Store) and Xbox One.
