Chivalry 2 Sales Pass 1 Million Units

Torn Banner Studios’ excellent multiplayer medieval brawler Chivalry 2 has now surpassed one million units, publisher Tripwire Presents and global retail publishing partner Deep Silver announced.

The sales number includes all the platforms Chivalry 2 has released on (PS4, PS5, PC via Epic Games Store, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S).

This is the first game under Tripwire Presents to have sold one million units, and the fastest-selling game by Torn Banner. That’s a million sales in under two months.

“Despite just launching in June, over a million people across five platforms have already played Chivalry 2, which tells us how much more potential the game has to grow,” said Steve Piggott, President of Torn Banner Studios. “We are so happy to have brought Chivalry 2’s unique experience of bloody, epic medieval warfare to so many people – and we’re already hard at work expanding the game much, much more.”

“Today we’re thrilled to celebrate the amazing milestone of Chivalry 2 selling over one million units in less than two months!” said John Gibson, Tripwire CEO. “We’ve been blown away by the response from players and critics alike, and the team is already hard at work on more great free content and adding highly requested features such as cross-platform parties.”

Torn Banner also shared some in-game stats for the occasion. Over 8 million hours have been spent in Chivalry 2, and more than 420 million knights have been killed in battle, fighting “for that guy we like”. Players favour the Officer subclass, under the Knight class and also like a good old Messer longsword as the most used weapon.

Chivalry 2 is out now and recently released its first post-launch free update. You can read our review of Chivalry 2 here.
