Catch The Sights Of Pokémon Taking Over LaLaport BBCC This Holiday

LaLaport BBCC has decked its halls with not boughs of holly, but with appearance of Pokémon as part of its themed event, LaLaport Pokémon Happy Holidays.

From today until January 4, 2026, the shopping mall at the heart of Bukit Bintang City Centre will be featuring the appearances of the iconic IP not just as decorations, but also through activities and games available.

Yes, this includes video games. There are game demo kiosks for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the latest entry to the RPG series available now on Switch 2.

On top of that, you can expect to see free tutorials on the Pokémon Trading Card Game, retail pop-ups selling Pokémon merch (including a Black Friday Late Night sale happening today until November 30), a Pokémon Sticker Collection quest where you can get eight different Pokémon stickers each week with 40 sticker in total for those who gotta collect ’em all, by spending at least RM10 at participating stores.

Plus, you can catch the sighting of Pikachu in Meet-And-Greet sessions as well as Walkabout appearances. And there’s Pokémon-themed Christmas tree light show happening every night at the WoW Plaza, Ground Floor.

LaLaport BBCC’s full name is Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, owned by Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., which should explain the mall’s Japanese-centric theming. Recently, the mall just introduced ACG Base, a large precinct of the mall catering to the anime, comics and games community.
