With all the E3 buzz currently there’s a new game coming out that has just launched three days ago, and it’s movie tie-in game for Cars 3. What seemed to be just another of those cash-in games it actually has an interesting story. The game, published by Warner Bros., is being developed by Avalanche Software, a studio that not only shared a similar name to Just Cause developers Avalanche Studios, but it was shut down since last year after Disney decided to close down Disney Infinity and drop out of making games internally, closing all the studios down with it.
And here we are, seeing Avalanche Software resurrected last January to do another Disney game. And it looks like it could be a decent racing game, especially for kids.
Not only do you get to race as 13 different characters from the upcoming Pixar movies over 20 different tracks, there’s a variety of modes available that involves good old racing and racing with power-ups to use ala Mario Kart. It also supports up to 4-player split-screen.
Cars 3: Driven To Win is out now on the PS4, Xbox One and the Switch. With Hari Raya approaching, this might be a good pickup if you have younger relatives visiting during the holidays.
