Capcom has announced that the development of VR mode for Resident Evil 4, the 2023 remake, has begun.
Resident Evil 4, the original, already has a VR version, available on Oculus/Meta Quest devices. But that’s based on the original 2005 release.
With the latest Resident Evil Village recently adding VR mode, to support PS VR2, it makes sense for the devs to continue such support to its upcoming title.
The VR mode for Resident Evil 4 will be for PS VR2 (so, only for PS5). It will be a free DLC once it arrives.
In addition, Capcom has released Resident Evil Village VR Mode for PS VR2. This allows the full campaign to be experienced in VR (and that includes encountering everyone’s favourite tall vampire lady Lady Dimitrescu). The VR Mode also adds a VR Tutorial and a Shooting Range.
Resident Evil 4, the 2023 remake, will be released on March 24 for the PS4, PS5, PC via Steam and Xbox Series X|S.
