Newly released looter-shooter Borderlands 3 is getting its first post-launch content update in the form of a limited-time event. Bloody Harvest is the series’ Halloween stand-in and as you would expect, its theme is all spooky.
When the event is live, players will encounter Haunted enemies. If you kill these, ghosts will emerge and will scare you, inducing a new debuff called Terror that will blur your vision and reduce gun handling, accuracy, and spread. Killing enough Haunted enemies, and collecting their Ectoplasm drop, and you can enter the Bloody Harvest map.
The Bloody Harvest map will have ratches, Rakks with Jack-O’-Lantern heads and a boss, the Baron Of Bloody Harvest. Which is just Captain Traunt (from the game’s campaign) but now zombified and called Captain Haunt. Heh.
The Bloody Harvest event will see new Echo Device skins, Vault Hunter skins, a universal gun skin and weapon trinkets. In addition, there will be two new legendary weapons (one is called the Fearmonger), a legendary shield, a legendary grenade mod and new annotated loot.
The event will be live sometime this October.
