House House, the indie devs behind the silly game Untitled Goose Game, has now released their follow-up title, Big Walk. It’s out now.
Big Walk is a co-op multiplayer game designed with proximity chat in mind where you take a walk around and solve puzzles together. One might call this “friendslop” like the burgeoning trend of small-scale, first-person and affordably priced mandatory co-op multiplayer games where half the fun is the shenanigans you and your group of friends create along the way. House House calls it a “walker-talker.”
Big Walk can be as intimate as a two-player game, or as chaotic party with up to 12 players. The game recommends you use the proximity chat feature, as some communication puzzles do involve the inconvenience of having to communicate in long distances without the help of an chatroom where everyone is omnipresent despite being in-game miles apart.
Big Walk also supports crossplay via lobby codes. No cross-platform party feature, but for reasons explained earlier, you better off not have a chatroom for this kind of experience.
The handcrafted puzzles in Big Walk do lead to a conclusion and ending, it’s a beatable game, rather than just endless generation of random events. So not a sloppy friendslop. Of course, the real fun here is the shenanigans you can have with friends. Flappable arms, a lot of objects that can be interacted and picked up including friends. Yeah, you can have the AAA experience of boosting a character up a ledge, or even better, have everyone in the lobby stacked up as a living totem pole.
Big Walk is out now on PS5, PC (Steam), Mac (Steam, App Store) and Nintendo Switch 2. It’s available for PS Plus subscribers as part of August 2026’s monthly games.
