Assetto Corsa Series Has Made €100 Million In Sales

Kunos Simulzioni has announced that the Assetto Corsa series has passed €100 million in sales across all platforms. That’s close to half a billion Malaysian Ringgit in sales.

The original Assetto Corsa, while no longer receiving new official content updates, is still thriving with an active modding community. The developers’ current game, Assetto Corsa Competizione, is doing well with its esports and real-motorsports tie-ins. More recently, races in ACC will impact the Silver Cup category of the 2021 GT World Challenge Europe, an actual motorsport championship.

To further expand Assetto Corsa in the world of esports, Kunos has since appointed Valerio Piersanti as Vice President for Licensing & Assetto Corsa Partnerships in December 2020. Piersanti was formerly Head Of Business Development at Ferrari.

With the current pandemic reducing much of the world’s motorsport activities, there’s more interest than ever with sim racing, and Assetto Corsa is poised to continue expanding in that space. And with this sales milestone news, this is probably just the start.
