ArcheAge’s First Update Adds New Area, Raid And More – Now Available In Southeast Asia

MMORPG ArcheAge is now available in Southeast Asia, directly published and developed by XLGAMES- the creator of the game that handles the Korean servers.

Last week, August 20 saw the release of the first update for SEA players, the Hiram update. This update adds a bunch of new content. This includes a 50-player raid called Red Dragon’s Keep, new “RvR” content in the form of Golden Plains Battle, a new area called Western Hiram Mountains to explore, higher-tier gear to earn, and more instanced dungeons and arenas.

There are also new events that are now live in ArcheAge alongside the Hiram update. Aria’s Concert lets players play a mini rhythm game (and also very popular among players in the Korean servers) and Naval Arena, “a Battle Royale experience as participants board clippers and fight to the last man standing.”

“Even with given the geographical distance, we will do our best to listen to and communicate with SEA players to provide them a great game and service,” says Yongjin Ham, Producer of the ArcheAge.

MMORPGs made in places like Korea tend to have servers outside of their home country run by other publishers. So for XLGAMES, this is a big deal for them to get right- ArcheAge in Southeast Asia is the first which the team publish and develop directly in-house.

ArcheAge is out now on PC via LinePod, and for SEA, it’s available in English, Thai and Bahasa Indonesia.
