AMD celebrates its 50-year anniversary today on April 29th. To commemorate that, they are releasing a Gold Edition of the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X processor and the AMD Radeon VII GPU.
What makes it a Gold Edition? The Ryzen is wrapped in gold AMD50 packaging and has a signature of AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su. Whereas the Radeon VII has a red shroud and similar gold AMD50 packaging.
These are limited-run hardware, so hardcore AMD fans or collectors should apply. You can order them directly from AMD.com for $329 USD (around RM1,360) and $699 USD (around RM2,890) respectively.
Getting either the Ryzen or Radeon Gold Editions before June 8th and you can claim the AMD50 Game Bundle, which includes codes World War Z and The Division 2 Gold Edition, both games powered by AMD. You also get an AMD50 T-Shirt and a sticker of an autograph by Dr. Lisa Su.
If these sound way too much for you the average consumer, then the good news is that select retailers worldwide will be running promotions on select AMD products. Buying any of these AMD processors or GPUs (through participating retailers) will also net you the AMD50 Game Bundle:
