Alan Wake 2 Gets October 17 Release, Only Available Digitally

It’s almost time to return back into Bright Falls and reconcile with one Alan Wake.

The latest PlayStation Showcase has reveal a new trailer for the upcoming Remedy game that includes a new character for the series, along with a release date.

The trailer sees the new character, FBI agent Saga Anderson coming into the sleepy town to investigate a string of murders, all leading towards a horror story written by our first main protagonist, Alan Wake. And later on in the game, players can switch between the two storyline as you pleased.

One interesting titbit to note is that there won’t be a physical release at launch, as both the PlayStation and Xbox versions will only be digital only as Remedy states that “Digital sales have risen to a point” that they can keep the games cost at 209 MYR (60USD) than charging the new industry standard by removing the physical release altogether.

In any case, Alan Wake 2 is set to launch on October 17.
