Acer Predator Triton 300 SE Is Smaller, Sleeker And More Powerful Than Before

Acer has announced a slew of gaming laptop refreshes today. Among them is a new version of the entry-level Predator Triton 300 gaming laptop.

The Acer Predator Triton 300 SE (PT314-51s) remains a slim gaming laptop, but now with a smaller screen size at 14 inches. But it’s also slim (17.9mm thin) and light (1.7kg), making it a portable gaming machine.

The Predator Triton 300 SE also swaps the usual black and light blue Predator colours for something sleeker- an all-metal grey chassis. With a muted branding too- there’s a small little Predator badge on the corner at the back. Only the 3-zone RGB keyboard give it away that it’s a gaming laptop.

Specs-wise, it’s pretty solid, equipped with an 11th-gen Intel Core i7 H35-series Special Edition and the recently-announced Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU.

A dual-fan cooling system using the 5th-gen of Acer’s proprietary AeroBlade Fan (which is now made up of metal parts) keeps the laptop cool.

The Predator Triton 300 SE also has DTS:X Ultra audio for surround sound, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650, and a Thunderbolt 4 port.

It’s a big departure when it comes to the looks (you can check our review of last year’s Triton 300 here), but the smaller form factor with still pretty decent CPU and GPU combo should make it one of many choices for those looking for a slim gaming laptop this year.

Expect to see the Triton 300 SE arriving the earliest in February for the EMEA market, priced at 1,499 EUR (roughly RM 7,409). We should hear about its availability in Malaysia, and pricing, soon.
