At the next@Acer 2024 event, Acer has revealed their entry onto the most interesting market of PC right now, the handheld PC market with the intent of fighting the likes of Lenovo, MSI and Steam. They introduced the Acer Nitro Blaze 7.
Powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS CPU and AMD Radeon 780M GPU (with help of Ryzen AI) that’s within a 7″ Full HD (1920 x 1080) 144Hz AMD FreeSync Premium IPS Screen, it’s quite of a unique machine that’s also packing a 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 2TB M.2 NVMe of memory. That along side a 50.05 Mh battery with 65W charging capacity via Type-C AC Adapter packed in.
It’s an interesting machine that will be utilizing Acer’s new Game Space app within the Windows 11 platform to make sure their machine can also run from multiple platforms (think Epic’s Launcher or GOG Galaxy).
it’s design are also basing their layout on the Xbox’s Input of A B X Y and LB/RB buttons, while also utilizing Hall effect triggers for their LT/RT sticks, so quite of a great first impression for their first foray into portable PCs.
The Acer Nitro Blaze 7 will launch first at Europe at the end of October and November with no local price has been set just yet, but each purchase of their handheld will also include Xbox’s PC Game Pass for 3 months. But do expect news of availability, exact specs and pricing for Malaysia to be revealed in the coming months.
