Dirt 5, Codemasters’ upcoming new off-road racer, will include some new modes for the sequel.
Revealed at the pre-show for Opening Night Live 2020, Playgrounds is essentially a Create-A-Park mode where you can put in various jumps, ramps, loop-the-loops, flaming hoops and more. Or a Trackmania track editor.
Playgrounds can also be created to run three different game modes- Gate Crasher, Gymkhana and Smash Attack.
Playgrounds can be uploaded and shared with other players. Playgrounds created on current-gen consoles can be carried over to next-gen consoles too.
Also, the stinger revealed that there’s a new mode called Vampire. Vampire, in a car game? Either this is a really campy story arc or a gimmicky tag mode but for cars. But we shall see what will entail in the next trailer.
Dirt 5 releases on October 16 for the PS4, PC and Xbox One. It will also coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X later this year.
