We’re now in November and it’s looking more likely that Grand Theft Auto VI will be out soon. Rockstar Games reaffirms this with more info on how to prep for your vacation trip/work leave/sick leave to Vice City and the state of Leonida.
Pre-loading for the digital versions of GTA VI will now start two days earlier, on November 10.
Pre-loading on PS5 begins on midnight local time in your time zone. Meanwhile, pre-load on Xbox will be at 12 AM GMT worldwide (8 AM Malaysia Time, GMT +8).
The physical release, which Rockstar now refers to as “code-in-box” versions (there won’t be discs) will however still go on sale on November 12 as previously announced. Digital versions get to pre-load early, so that should stagger the servers a bit.
As for the size of the pre-load, take a deep breath as you need to clear out a whopping 212GB in space. That’s two Call Of Duty games in size, and about most of the usable SSD space that comes in an Xbox Series S. A few days to go to free up install sizes before pre-loading begins.
The physical release of Grand Theft Auto VI will unfortunately not have a map included, something that Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto V did.
The good news is, Rockstar will be making a the map of Leonida as well as the cover art poster as a free digital download from the official GTA VI site, so you can print them yourself. This will be made available on November 19, the game’s launch day.
Additionally, the GTA VI map is available through the Rockstar Store, as its own purchase or included as a free game on any other purchase. Note that the Rockstar Store ships to limited regions: only Singapore for Southeast Asia.
Grand Theft Auto VI will be out on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
