Looking for another game to play with your partner/spouse/friend/buddy/designated co-op plus-one to play a two-player co-op game with? Indonesia-based indie studio Teka Teki Studios announced their new game called Two & Two: Agents.
Two & Two: Agents tasks you and your partner, as secret agents Thunder and Tangerine, to uncover the truth behind a mystery where “a world-famous scientist is running a secret experiment with unknown consequences.”
The big hook here is that each agent are split up into different places. It’s an online co-op game and you don’t get to see each other’s screens. You’ll have to search the surroundings in a point-and-click style experience, then share notes, talk through them and hopefully put…. two and two… together.
Two & Two: Agents essentially an asymmetrical co-op game, a little bit like the We Were Here series, but it’s presented more like a adventure game through point-and-click controls rather than the usual first-person controls. The game has an espionage vibe going for it, and features hand-drawn art.
Fittingly enough, Teka Teki Studios is made up of a team of two developers. The Indonesian words “teka teki” in the developer’s name can be translated as riddles, or more appropriately for this context, puzzles. (Side note: The Malay language also share the same word and meaning, but is written grammatically as “teka-teki” with a hyphen between the words. Same same, but different.)
Mandatory two-player co-op games seems to be in vogue more recently, even in the indie space. Apart from the aforementioned We Were Here series (the latest game, We Were Here Tomorrow releases this month), we also recently saw the release of Duo Quest, a two-player roguelike that may make-or-break relationships.
Two & Two: Agents has no release date yet, but it’s coming to PC via Steam.
