True! Persona 4 Revival is bringing a new character previously only featured in the Persona 4 anime series into the remake of the 2008 RPG.
Aika Nakamura, the delivery girl for the Chinese diner Aiya, will now appear in the game itself, appearing as a student in the school and a Social Link character which you can form bonds with.
Aika also introduces a new feature new to Persona 4 Revival, Local Tours. It involves searching the town with Aika, uncovering old photos and then sharing them with friends to find what they were like in Inaba years ago, before your arrival to the small town.
Aika previously only appeared in Persona 4: The Animation, in which sees her deliver food in the most comical timing.
The other revealed characters are more close to home to the protagonist. The Dojimas, the strict uncle Ryotaro who’s the detective on the case of the murders in Inaba and his sweet little daughter Nanako are the family the protagonist stays in with.
Tohru Adachi, the meek young detective that works alongside Dojima whose face is what the Persona fans have been spamming for days, is also revealed.
Here are the official bios, straight from the press release from developer Atlus, of the newly revealed characters for Persona 4 Revival.
- Nanako Dojima: The daughter of Ryotaro Dojima, the relative looking after the protagonist. During her father’s frequent absences, she keeps the house tidy and holds down the fort. Adores the Junes Department Store.
- Ryotaro Dojima: An old-fashioned detective with years of experience on the force. Ryotaro works around the clock to investigate the series of homicides occurring in Inaba. He has taken his nephew, the protagonist, into his own home for the year.
- Tohru Adachi: A young detective who transferred from the head office this spring. Investigates the murders alongside Dojima, but his habit of letting things slip sometimes gets him into trouble.
- Aika Nakamura: The friendly face of Aiya, a Chinese diner in the shopping district. Easygoing by nature, she handles all the restaurant’s deliveries. Childhood friends with Hanako Ohtani.

Following Persona 3 Reload, Persona 4 Revival is a remake of the original Persona 4 which brings the same flair and flavour of the stylish RPG for a modern generation.
In Persona 4 Revival, you are a new transfer student in the rural town of Inaba, which just so happens to have a series of murders, which includes fellow students as victims. There’s also a stranger rumour about the Midnight Channel.
You (well, Yu if you prefer the canonical protagonist name) and your friends in the Investigation Team are set to get to the bottom of this and reach out to the truth all while having fun spending time in school and with friends along the way.
Despite the crux of the plot being about a murder mystery, Persona 4’s the most jovial and upbeat entry to the series, thanks to its style of presentation in contrast to Persona 3’s melancholic blues and Persona 5’s fiery red rebellion. Meanwhile, the now-announced Persona 6 is looking to have a green colour motif.
Persona 4 Revival will be out on February 17 for the PS5, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) and Xbox Series X|S and on May 20 for Nintendo Switch 2. Physical copies are available for PS5 and Switch 2.
