Marvel’s Wolverine is out now on PS5, and to celebrate, the publisher has collaborated with Eddie Putera, a Malaysian diorama artist, in creating a real, tangible, version of Madripoor, albeit at a smaller scale.
Madripoor is one of the destinations the new action game by Insomniac takes players to, a fictional island in the Marvel multiverse that is the melting pot of various Southeast Asian cultures.
From signages that uses different scripts in different languages, to the colonial-styled buildings that stand alongside more cosier shacks with plastic chairs and tables placed in the open. Some of the toppled. Said plastic tables have specific three lines of scratch marks.

In creating the diorama, Eddie is inspired by the game but he’s given it his own “miniature interpretation.”
Not sure if people in Madripoor ride on those underbone “kapcai” motorcycles popular in this side of the world, but there’s a few parked in the diorama that gives it that SEA feel.
Unlike the open-world nature of Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Wolverine sees the titular mutant travel across the world in linear levels as he set to save his kind from human prejudice in a pre-X-Men Marvel world.
