TCG Card Shop Simulator, the first-person “simulator” game about running a TCG shop business featuring an in-world trading card game line, has now left Early Access. Version 1.0 is available now on PC and Xbox, and the full game has also launched on PS5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 as well.
Developed by one-person indie team O.P. Neon Games, TCG Card Shop Simulator has over 4 million players that played the Early Access version on Steam and Xbox Game Preview.
Celebrating the launch, here’s a statement from O.P. Neon Games founder and TCG Card Shop Simulator Ding Shen Sia:
“TCG Card Shop Simulator was made because I was bored out of my mind after burning out from solo mobile game development back in 2023. I felt aimless and wasn’t sure what to do with my life.
“I’m not sure if I hit some kind of boredom limit, but one day I thought to myself, ‘Let’s see if I can publish a PC game on Steam and make some cool Steam Trading Cards. I have always wanted to try it. And it would be nice if I can open an infinite amount of TCG card packs in the game, real ones are so expensive!’
“I had no big expectations or plans for it other than making the Steam Trading Cards work, but I would have been really happy if it sold 100,000 copies in a year (it somehow sold that amount in just 3 days!). Fast forward to now I still cannot believe TCG Card Shop Simulator is actually going 1.0 on Steam and launching on all console platforms! A big THANK YOU to every player who played TCG Card Shop Simulator. Your support made this entire journey possible!”
With Version 1.0, TCG Card Shop Simulator adds an entirely playable Tetramon trading card game. The cards that you’re stocking shelves full of is an actual, playable card game. So if the retail business “simulator” aspect of the game doesn’t do it for you, and you want to do more than just experiencing the high of physical gacha with none of the monetary consequences by opening packs over and over, there’s a new stimulating gameplay aspect now available.

In the spirit of supporting Malaysian developers during this patriotic season for the country, another local developer just made a big game reveal. Metronomik’s next game that’s not No Straight Roads 2, Ondeh Ondeh, gets re-revealed and is to be published by Bandai Namco.
