Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, the soulslike action-RPG by developer Leenzee and publisher 505 Games, gets another content drop for Deluxe Edition owners.
As part of the Deluxe Expansion 2, three more costumes and two more weapons are added to the game.
In addition, four new headgear are now available, free for all players.
These are not mere cosmetics, as Wuchang: Fallen Feathers attach gear stats to items of clothing. The game does offer transmogrification, i.e. changing the cosmetic look of any clothing item while retaining its gameplay stat, so you are free to fashion the playable hero Wuchang the way you like.

The new content are as follows:
- Three Brand New Costumes:
- Duskhaze Bamboo Costume
- Draconic Duskdance Costume
- Draconic Dawndance Costume
- Two New Weapons
- Swanblade
- Redcoil Waraxe
- Four New Headgear Pieces (free for all players)
- Jadeborn Grace
- Wide-Brimmed Hat
- Black Traditional Hat
- Black Mesh Headscarf
In addition, a new update, Update 1.7, will be arriving alongside the new Deluxe Expansion 2 content drop.

The most significant feature in this update is the addition of “Rechallenge” option after dying at a boss fight, which allows you to immediately retry the fight by respawning right at the entrance of the arena.
What this means is that Wuchang is now making runbacks optional. This is the colloquial term adopted by fans of the genre referring to the act of having to make your way to the boss arena again after dying due to spawning at a deliberately far-placed respawn point.
It’s a design feature as seen in various soulslikes, including the one game we argue inspired Wuchang the most: Bloodborne. More modern soulslikes have made this less of a thing, see Elden Ring with having Stakes Of Marika as an alternative spawn point right in front of boss arenas. Though not all of them do, see the discourse surrounding Hollow Knight: Silksong.
For Wuchang, it looks like the devs have backed down and made this sometimes infuriating design element to be optional. You can still take the long walk of shame if punishment is what fuels you in this punishing soulslike RPG.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is out now on PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S. Check out our review of the game here.
