Usually, laptops from OEMs split their lineup for creatives and gaming, with their slim gaming laptop lineup featuring some features that one in the content creation space or looking for a productivity machine might consider.
Acer is pushing that line with its latest slim gaming laptop with its 2025 revision of the Predator Triton 14, now dubbed as the Predator Triton 14 AI.
The 2025 Predator Triton AI gaming laptop weighs at light 1.6 kg and just 11m thin, yet packs a punch specs-wise. We’re talking an Intel Core Ultra 9 288V, a 110W Nvidia RTX 5070, 32GB RAM and 2TB of SSD space. That’s a decent gaming machine worth of performance (for 2025 standards) and then some.
With the laptop packing this much metaphorical heat in terms of performance, it needs to also keep out the literal heat. Acer introduces its new 6th-gen proprietary AeroBlade 2D metal fan with the Predator Triton 14 AI, two of them cools the laptop together with the first use of graphene Thermal Interface Materials (TIM) in a laptop.
It’s claimed the use of graphene TIM boosts thermal efficiency by 14.5%, which means more heat can be dissipated out of the thin laptop at a time.
Though curiously, Acer is pulling another trick up its sleeve with the Predator 14 AI supporting pen stylus input.
However, you don’t intuitively draw on the screen, it’s not that kind of device. Rather, the Predator 14 AI has a Corning Gorilla Glass touchpad with haptic feedback with “support for 4,096 pressure levels” so you can sketch and write not on the screen, but on the touchpad. Not something a regular gamer would want, but the laptop is designed for the “creative professionals, content creators, gamers and students” after all, assuming one can afford one.
