ROG XG Mobile (2025) eGPU Now Available In Malaysia

ASUS ROG has now made available the new ROG XG Mobile (2025) external GPU in Malaysia, beginning today.

With a price tag starting at a cool RM6,299, the XG Mobile (2025) contains an external GPU, in this case an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop (140W), and also doubles as a hub full of ports. Just plug the eGPU to a compatible ROG device to get a graphical performance boost, all in a compact package.

The ROG XG Mobile (2025) GC34R contains the following ports:

  • Thunderbolt 5 Type-C x2 (one for input, one for output)
  • DisplayPort 2.1
  • RJ-45 LAN port (5G)
  • USB 3.2 Gen Type-A x2
  • HDMI 2.1

Supposedly there’s also an SD card reader, but it’s not clear where it is.

The ROG XG Mobile (2025) requires the device to have at least a Thunderbolt 4 or USB 4 port, so the list of supported devices doesn’t cover the older ROG Ally or the lower-end ROG Xbox Ally (which has USB 3.2 ports). It does support the more powerful ROG Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally X.

A list of ASUS and ROG that can work with an ROG XG Mobile (2025) can be found here.

If you already have the supported laptops or portable PCs, the ROG XG Mobile (2025) looks like a nice dock that also provide extra graphics performance.

But it’ll cost you the price of a full-on gaming laptop or desktop PC.

It does look nice, however. The new translucent cover, redesigned hinge and more compact form factor should make folks working and/or playing with portable PCs or laptops to set up their work/play station at any place easily.
