PlayStation casually announced a new State Of Play broadcast will be happening this week. But it’s not just your ordinary State Of Play, it’s State Of Play Japan.
Unexpected soyjack meme joke aside, the 40-minute presentation will focus on “games created in Japan and across Asia, alongside a few other exciting updates,” as per the PlayStation Blog. So we might see more than just games made in Japan, but likely even from China, India and good ol’ Southeast Asia.
The State Of Play Japan broadcast will be hosted in entirely in Japanese, with English subtitles available for the main English broadcast on the PlayStation YouTube channel. The host is for the State Of Play Japan is voice actor Yuki Kaji. This is the first time the State Of Play broadcast to be delivered mostly in Japanese, though previous broadcasts, including the most recent one, had featured Japanese game developers speaking their native tongue.
The State Of Play Japan broadcast will go live on November 12, 6 AM Malaysia Time (+8 GMT), the usual broadcast time for most State Of Plays.
