Hunt: Showdown Ending PS4, Xbox One Support, “Relaunching” On PS5, Xbox Series This August

Hunt: Showdown, Crytek’s ongoing extraction shooter, is ending live service for the PS4 and Xbox One versions replacing them with a release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Players have been previously informed that this is happening, where Crytek stated that live service on PS4 and Xbox One to be discontinued “no sooner than April 2024”.

Players on consoles will get free upgrades to the next-gen console version of Hunt: Showdown for free, with all progression and purchases kept and carried forward. As such, Crytek is now “relaunching” Hunt: Showdown on consoles, with native PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions coming this August.

This relaunch comes alongside a game engine upgrade to CryEngine 5.11.

Exact details on how the new game engine improves the game will be revealed in upcoming weekly info drops straight from the developers. Players can expect to learn more about the new map, a sneak peak of the new UI, how it’s addressing cheating and toxic behaviour, and more until the relaunch of Hunt: Shodown.

Hunt: Showdown will be relaunching on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 15. The game is currently available on PC.
