It’s time to hit the tee with the party, Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots is out now. Called Everybody’s Golf World in Japan, this new entry to the Everybody’s Golf series, also previously known as Hot Shots Golf in North America, is developed by Hyde and published by Bandai Namco.
Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots features 25 playable characters, each with unlockable abilities and options to customise their stats, clubs and balls, caddies offering tips and tricks as well support skills and interesting modes that makes this arcade golfing game play nothing like the more traditional simulator-style titles. You’re not waving the analog stick to swing a club, you have the good-old three-button shot controls to launch that drive into the fairway, approach the green, get out of a bunker and sink that putt in.
The game includes World Tour mode for a career mode spanning 10 different regions and opportunities to see character interactions among the cast. The spirit of good-old character-based arcade sports game is well and alive. And if that’s not enough, there’s also Wacky Golf, a series of game modes that eschews your usual game of skins and other traditional golf mode something wilder.
Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots also features local (up to four players for couch co-op) and online multiplayer.
This is the third game release of the year by Bandai Namco based on a dormant IP owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment (PlayStation), following the remaster of Freedom Wars and remaster of Patapon 1 and 2. For Everybody’s Golf, this is the first entry to the series not developed by Clap Hanz.
Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots is now available on PS5, PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch. In Asia, the PC version will launch tomorrow, September 5.
