Asus ROG Zephyrus G Laptops Redesigned For 2024

At CES 2024, Asus ROG unveiled a new redesign for the ROG Zephyrus G line of thin gaming laptops.

The ROG Zephyrus G14 and Zephyrus G16 (14-inch and 16-inch screen respectively) for 2024 looks mostly inconspicuous with rounded edges and the classy ROG label at the back. But it still has a striking look, there’s a diagonal line that replaces the two-tone diagonal divide of last year’s. Asus calls it “Slash Lighting”, the diagonal line does light up with customisable lighting patterns.

The chassis comes in two colours: Eclipse Gray and the new Platinum White, both having a matte finish.

These Zephyrus laptops remain thin and light. The Zephyrus G14 is 1.5kg and 1.59cm thick, with the bigger G16 at 1.85kg and 1.49 thick.

The screens for the 2024 ROG Zephyrus have been changed to the Nebula OLED panel, one of the first OLED panels to have Nvidia G-Sync.

The 2024 ROG Zephyrus G14 uses AMD Ryzen 8000 Series CPU and paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU. The laptop has Thermal Grizzly liquid metal and a three-fan setup for cooling, utilising Asus’s 2nd-gen Arc Flow Fans.

Meanwhile the 2024 ROG Zephyrus G16 uses an Intel Core Ultra 9 CPU paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090. While it only has two fans inside, the G16 has a vapour chamber setup for cooling, enabling it to be sufficiently cooled despite its thin package.

The 2024 ROG Zephyrus G laptops, alongside the rest of the ROG laptops announced today, will be available in Malaysia on January 19. Yes, that early.

Expect to see pricing and full specs for the variants that will be available in the country in the coming weeks.
