AMD Streamer Challenge Returns For 2021 Alongside New AMD Gaming Events

After a successful 2020 run of the AMD Streamer Challenge organised by AMD and esports organiser Eliphant, the event returns for 2021.

But that’s not all, the Asia Pacific region will also be getting three new AMD gaming events on top of that, as part of AMD’s 2021 Asia-Pacific Gaming Campaign.

The AMD Streamer Challenge will see streamers forming teams with their fans to compete in various online in-game challenges, with prizes offered for participating teams. The 2020 edition featured nine streamers across seven countries from Southeast Asia as well as South Korea and Japan. They even got V-Tuber Pikamee to join in the fun last time out.

The three new gaming events are all catered to different niches of the gaming community. The AMD Gaming Creators series will be covering artists, cosplayers, producers and other gaming-related content creators, outside of streamers.

Meanwhile, the AMD Esports Challenge are a series of “community-focused initiatives” that include amateur tournaments for players in Asia. Sharing and play sessions with pro teams will also be included as well.

Lastly, the AMD Game Lab focuses on the educational aspects of games, and will also be covering more social-conscious discussions pertaining to gaming. This includes topics like health and wellness as well as the social issues within the gaming space.

The campaign is supported by returning sponsors Secretlab, as well as PC gaming brands Acer, Asus, Dell and HP. Microsoft is also a partner. You can expect segments of the campaign to showcase games available on Xbox Game Pass.

All the events under the AMD Gaming 2021 Campaign will be running from July 2021 until January 2022. Events with live broadcasts will be hosted on Twitch. More details on the timing of upcoming events can be found later on the main website here.
