Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid Is Adding Quantum Ranger, Who’s Essentially Devil May Cry’s Vergil

"Featuring Vergil From The Devil May Cry Series"

Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid is slowly making its presence known in the fighting game community. But this is the most obvious as it has ever been.

With the second season pass comes three new characters. The second one, which is now available for Season Pass 2 owners, is Quantum Ranger from Power Rangers Time Force. Also known as Eric Myers, the live-action and voice-over in the show was done by Dan Southworth. He is now more famous in the gaming community for his portrayal of Vergil from the Devil May Cry series. Vergil is also has been playable in the fighting game Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3.

So with Quantum Ranger in Battle For The Grid, it all has come full circle. This character’s moveset are reminiscent of Vergil and his voicelines are also mostly cheeky nods. “I need more Quantum Power!” and “Foolishness, Lord Zedd” are just among the quips Quantum Ranger spits out.

It’s clear everyone involved with this knows what they are doing. And fans, just by looking at the comment section of the trailer alone, are loving everything about this.

Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid is out now on PS4, PC (Steam), Xbox One and Switch.
